People make more and more DHEA from birth through puberty into adulthood until about age 25, when we are “in our reproductive prime” as humans. DHEA levels begin to decline at a rate of 2% per year thereafter. So, by age 35 we are all making about 20% less than when we were at our best (or in our prime) and by age 50 we produce just half as much as we did at age 25…and that gradual decline continues to whereby age 70 or 80 we are only producing 10% or less of the DHEA we once did.

Men and women start to notice these little subtle changes or “challenges” as you say, after about age 35…like they…start to not sleep as well at night, toss, and turn wake up several times during the night. People lose energy…just feel kind of washed out…blah…no zest…low vitality.

Folks start to lose physical fitness and muscle tone and start to add fat easier. You know that extra fat pad around the middle that gets easier and easier to add on….and harder and harder to make go away. Lots of people notice what they describe as a loss of focus and mental sharpness, lose interest in sex, another common thing is for people to be more susceptible to infections and sickness.
