Ep 280 How Aging & Stress Affect DHEA Levels & Immune Function

DHEA is short for dehydroepiandrosterone. DHEA is a naturally occurring
hormone precursor. It is the most abundant pro-hormone in the human body.

DHEA is produced by the adrenal glands sex organs and in the skin, and is
metabolized into other hormones such as testosterone and estrogens. DHEA
supports the immune function and cardiovascular health.

DHEA supports cognitive function, focus and sense of well-being, and helps
to counterbalance the negative effects of the stress hormone, cortisol –
the inflammatory response hormone.
